Do you do flash or custom designs?

All artists at Duck Duck Tattoo Studio have pre-drawn flash designs available as well as offer full custom designs! To check out each artist's flash, check out their instagram, or stop by the shop to look through our flash books.

Can you send me my custom design in advance?

No. This is standard for most tattoo artists. Sadly, some people never plan to get tattooed or steal the design and take it to another artist, which makes us lose money and takes away from paying clients. You WILL get to see, approve, and request any small edits at your appointment. If we need to make more edits than time allows, we will just reschedule the appointment and use your appointment time to work on the design with you. Our goal is to make you happy and in love with your design! :)

Will you tattoo folks under 18?

No, we will only tattoo folks over the age of 18 (even if you have parental consent). We will be ready for you when you turn 18 and love to celebrate your turning 18 with your dream tattoo!

Can I use numbing cream before my tattoo?

Yes! We even use it ourselves on some tough spots. If you need recommendations and/or instructions on how to prepare, shoot your artist a message, they are happy with give some tips. Just be sure to always notify us if you are using numbing cream beforehand, it does change the process slightly to help you get the most numbing power.

Is the ink you use vegan?

Yes!

Can I bring someone to my appointment?

Yes, but please limit it to one or two people, as more than that can be disruptive and distracting during your tattoo. Plus, we’ll be besties anyway, we promise 🥰

Can you help me with placement if I’m not sure?

Of course! Giving you a good placement is part of our job, and we are happy to help you find the best spot for your new artwork. We will also never make you feel bad about changing the placement of the stencil, we will do it until it is perfect!

What do I need to bring and prepare for my appointment?

Bring your government ID. Eat before, wear comfy clothes, and if it’s a longer session, a snack. We have water and a restroom at the shop.

Is the shop wheelchair accessible?

Yes, there is a ramp at the entrance of the shop. Unfortunately, the bathroom is a bit tight though, and may not accomadate a large wheelchair.

What is your cancellation or reschedule policy?

If you cancel within 48 hours of your tattoo, you’ll need to go back through the normal booking process to schedule a new appt, pay a new deposit for the new appt, and will forfeit your first deposit. If you cancel 2-7 days before your appt, we can reschedule you without rebooking and you will not need to pay a new deposit, but your initial deposit will not go towards your final tattoo price. If you cancel more than a week in advance, your deposit will carry through to your new appt and still come off the price of your tattoo.

What to expect for your appointment:

  • When you arrive, we’ll show you the design and we will discuss placement.

  • We will print out the stencil and place it perfectly on you.

  • While the stencil dries, you can fill out the client paperwork, get some water, and use the restroom before we get started.

  • We finish setting up for your tattoo while you do the above.

  • When we are ready, we will let you know how you’ll be sitting/laying, and then we will get started!

  • We typically have soft chill music on at the shop, but if you have a certain type of music you want to listen to during your tattoo, we are happy to put anything on for you!

  • We are happy to chat during your tattoo because we know it can help distract you 😉🤪, or feel free to bring headphones and get in your zone! 🥰
